Exciting Opportunity: Sanitation Technician
Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor, Sanitation Technicians are responsible for keeping all production areas in a clean and orderly condition to ensure compliance standards are met and production functions as expected.
Scope of Role:
- Cleaning equipment and components in support of production operations
- Provide instruction to other staff involved in sanitation activities as needed
- Work with quality to ensure cleaning standards are being achieved
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors, fixtures and equipment
- Gather and empty production area trash and recycling
- Communicate the need for supplies and equipment for cleaning duties to the supervisor
- Complete all required documentation as instructed
- Complete other duties as assigned
As a Sanitation Technician you bring:
- Proven sanitation experience in a manufacturing/production/industrial environment required
- Ability to stand for long periods of time & ability to lift upwards of 30lbs
- Valid WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and work independently
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Strong attention to detail
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Strong multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
