Vermont State University seeks a part-time instructor to teach a 3-credit course, "Cannabis as Medicine: Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Cultural Perspectives," during the Spring 2026 semester between 1/20/2026-5/17/2026. The course will be taught synchronously online using Canvas and Zoom. Key Responsibilities:
Teach course: "Cannabis as Medicine: Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Cultural Perspectives"; especially aimed at Cannabis Studies Certificate Program, Nursing, and Health Sciences students * Advise students, especially Cannabis Studies Certificate Program students, who may gain credit in the program with this course *Provide timely feedback on and grades for student assignments * Invite health professionals into class * Collaborate with Cannabis Studies Certificate Program Coordinator and program faculty on management, operation, and future of the program
Job Qualifications:
- PhD in Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences or related area, with focus on Cannabis Studies
- Active research agenda in the field of Cannabis Studies
- At least one year of prior teaching experience preferred

Salary:
Based on credits previously taught per VSC-VSCPTF Bargaining Unit Agreement.
