About the Role
The Merchandising Operations Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of merchandising operations for SNDL’s Cannabis Retail segment. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Category Management & Merchandising Operations, this role ensures accurate and timely execution across pricing, promotions, and master data processes.
This position is critical to maintaining operational continuity across stores and digital channels, ensuring product information, pricing, and promotional activities are correctly configured within systems to support the customer experience and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Master Data & Product Information Management
- Execute new item setup and maintain ongoing product information accuracy within D365 F&O and Plytix
- Perform routine data audits to ensure completeness and alignment with master data standards
- Maintain product hierarchies, attributes, and categorization as required
Pricing & Promotion Execution
- Create, update, and validate pricing structures, discounts, and promotional setups in accordance with approved plans
- Support weekly price book and planogram setup, ensuring accuracy prior to deployment
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate timely resolution
Ticket Management & Issue Resolution
- Monitor the Product Management ticket board and ensure timely triage and resolution of requests
- Support investigation and resolution of website pricing issues in partnership with Business Technology
- Escalate complex issues as appropriate
Process Support
- Document and maintain SOPs to support consistent execution
- Assist in testing and implementation of system enhancements and new ERP functionality
- Support process improvement initiatives led by the Merchandising Operations team
Merchandising Operations Reporting
- Prepare and maintain standard operational reports using ERP and ticket data
- Support weekly and ad hoc reporting related to pricing, promotions, and master data
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy of outputs
Success Measures
- Accuracy of product, pricing, and promotional data
- Timeliness of execution
- Reduction in store-level issues related to merchandising errors
- Reliability of operational reporting
- Stakeholder satisfaction across Category, Retail, and Supply Chain teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in retail, merchandising operations, pricing & promotions, master data, analytics, or similar functions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency; comfortable working with structured datasets
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O preferred)
- Exposure to Product Information Management systems (Plytix preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
