As an Inventory Lead at Baked Brosβ’, you are responsible for maintaining accurate, compliant, and efficient inventory control throughout the cannabis product lifecycle. This role executes daily inventory operations, supports the Inventory & Purchasing Manager, and ensures seamless coordination between production, packaging, and sales teams. The Inventory Lead upholds strict adherence to state regulations, internal SOPs, and inventory best practices in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
This is a full-time position.
The position starts at $48K per year, Monday through Friday, 7am - 4pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Management:
- Oversee daily inventory operations, including receiving, intake, storage, and movement of raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods, ensuring all items are accurately labeled and stored.
- Support the Inventory Manager to maintain real-time inventory accuracy in Flourish and other tracking systems (e.g., Google Sheets), conducting routine cycle counts, mid-month, and end-of-month (EOM) physical counts.
- Assist to reconcile variances and adjust records as needed.
- Manage and organize inputs to the finished goods inventory. Verify counts against the Batch Tracking Sheets (BTS)
- Track raw materials, packaging and consumables from intake through consumption.
- Communicate expiring or short-dated products to the Inventory & Purchasing Manager and Distribution Manager.
- Oversee the handoff of inventoried items to production and packaging teams, and ensure proper documentation is maintained throughout.
- Maintain proper storage and accurate accounting of all active ingredients. Ensure proper handoff and documentation is maintained for homogenization and dosing.
Materials Intake (Receiving):
- Ensure all inbound materials are matched to corresponding purchase orders and that all documentation is provided and organized properly.
- Accurately record quantities, batch/lot numbers, expiration dates, and supplier details.
- Label received materials clearly and accurately with dates, lot numbers, and storage instructions.
- Ensure all materials are properly moved to designated storage locations.
- Inspect shipments for damage, contamination or discrepancies and document them per the Receiving SOP. Escalate deviations such as shortages or damaged goods to the Inventory Manager immediately
Sales Orders Support:
- Confirm accurate finished goods counts and organization of inventory post daily order fulfillment. Communicate any discrepancies to the Inventory Manager and Distribution Manager.
- Partner with the Inventory Manager and Distribution Manager to coordinate any order adjustments (e.g. label adjustments, quantity adjustments, etc) as needed.
- Manage recall and return processes to ensure quick identification and resolution of affected products.
Communication & Reporting:
- Ensure strict inventory compliance with AZ state regulations is maintained at all times.
- Support internal and regulatory audits. Assist the Inventory Manager to ensure audit-ready records are maintained and available as needed.
- Communicate cross-departmentally with accounting, production and packaging departments.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in the cannabis industry.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of state regulations related to inventory management.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and Google Drive Application Suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing environments.
- Proficiency with basic computer tools for label printing, data entry, and tracking.
