We are now hiring a General Manager for our brand-new Wine and Beyond location in Regina!
As the General Manager, you will lead a multi-million-dollar retail liquor store, managing operations, people, inventory, and customer service. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and retail operations knowledge, with an eye for detail and a passion for creating a customer-centric culture.
People Leadership:
Hire, train, coach, and inspire a high-performing retail team
Set clear priorities, lead team huddles, and conduct performance reviews
Build a culture of accountability and professional growth
Retail Operations:
Ensure compliance with all provincial liquor laws (TAP, ProServe, AGLC/SLGA, etc.)
Manage scheduling, payroll, merchandising, and daily operations
Maintain store cleanliness, presentation, and inventory accuracy
Sales & Customer Service:
Drive a sales-focused culture through education and customer engagement
Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly
Lead by example in upselling and promoting exclusive labels
Financial Accountability:
Manage budgets, interpret P&Ls, and control labor/inventory costs
Monitor KPIs and lead action plans for improvement
Partner with Regional and District Managers on financial performance
Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role (liquor or retail strongly preferred)
3+ years in a big-box or high-volume retail environment
ProServe/Serving It Right/TAP certification (or ability to obtain)
Post-secondary education an asset
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on your feet, and work flexible retail hours (evenings/weekends)
Passion for liquor industry knowledge (wine/beer/spirits certification is a bonus)
