Exciting Opportunity: Quality Control Technician I
Are you detail-oriented and ready to play a key role in maintaining product safety and compliance? We’re looking for a Quality Control Technician I (QC Tech I) to join our team and help ensure adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Good Production Practices (GPP), and Health Canada regulations. In this role, you'll perform in-process checks, review documentation, approve room and equipment releases, and support product sampling. If you have a background in science or cannabis, strong analytical skills, and a sharp eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a QC Tech I, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting surface, equipment, and environmental swabbing per SOPs, GMP, and Cannabis Regulations
  • Reviewing and approving cleaning records, room activity logs, and scale verifications
  • Approving room and equipment releases prior to use
  • Monitoring in-process controls and responding to deviations
  • Sampling cannabis product, packaging labels, and finished products
  • Inspecting documentation to ensure adherence to GDP
  • Applying bulk packaging stickers and “Approved/Quarantine/Release” stickers
  • Supporting the Quality Manager with additional tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • 1+ year of experience in a scientific or cannabis-related field
  • HACCP certified edible manufacturer or prior safe food handling practices considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Capablility of multitasking with minimal supervision
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
