The Production Team Lead will report into the Production Supervisor and will be responsible for helping to set up the production process and act as shift lead to associates. The Production Team Lead will also be responsible for producing pre-rolls, packaging flower, and preparing labels as well as other duties. We are looking for individuals who are detail orientated, focused and efficient in the tasks they carry out.

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday – 6:00am – 4:00 pm

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe work conditions and practices within the production area by enforcing company Safety, Health and Environmental policies while actively using the correct PPE for the task at hand.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Good Production Practices (GPP) and GMP.
  • Delegate and actively lead activities of the production team as outlined by the Production Supervisor
  • Ensure packaging production quotas deadlines are consistently met. Work in the production line with consistent speed and accuracy.
  • Monitor effectiveness and outlining any inefficiencies to management. Regularly communicate with management on updates, problems, or comments as they arise.
  • One on one training of all new staff on tasks within your area until they are competent in their duties.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instruction for work assignments.
  • Maintain storage areas and carry out general duties.
  • Mark and/or tag products with identifying information.
  • Assemble various products and materials.
  • Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment.
  • May participate in replenishment, letdowns, shipping and receiving.
  • Operate, navigate, or drive mechanized material handling equipment.
  • Undertake Production Associate activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking.
  • Inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify problems or defects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a position requiring problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge with GPP and GMP is preferred.
  • Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including laborers, technical, professional, and upper management.
  • Ability to remain professional in all situations and to keep relationships with staff professional while actively leading a team during working hours.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Proven ability to motivate and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Previous experience working with cannabis packaging or in production lines preferred.
  • Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching.
