This person will lead data-driven strategies that optimize pricing, promotions, and loyalty programs within the fast-growing cannabis industry. This role will transform complex datasets into actionable insights that drive profitability, enhance customer engagement, and support strategic decision-making across wholesale and retail channels.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Lead a team of inventory management professionals
  • Manage internal and third-party procurement activities including buying, replenishment, allocation, assortment planning, and promotional strategies.
  • Oversee virtual merchandising for assigned retail locations, ensuring accuracy in pricing, promotions, and product presentation.
  • Continually create and implement unique approved sales strategies, ideas, and programs to drive sales growth and market share.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels across assigned locations to ensure optimal stock, variety, and availability.
  • Provide regular inventory and sales performance reporting, including velocity tracking and replenishment needs.
  • Analyze sales, inventory, and pricing data to support performance insights and decision-making.
  • Support the Director of Commercial Operations with open-to-buy (OTB) planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records, including purchasing history, promotional programs, pricing and discount structures, and ongoing performance metrics to ensure compliance and optimization.
  • Oversee usage and accuracy of state inventory and e-commerce systems.
  • Lead initiatives related to retail and grower-processor inventory management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendor suppliers, working alongside the Director of Commercial Operations to negotiate optimal pricing, discounts, and terms that support margin and sales objectives.
  • Leverage company-provided business intelligence tools (such as Hoodie) to monitor market pricing, discounts, and promotions, ensuring pricing remains competitive and aligned with business objectives.
  • Support wholesale sales execution across assigned markets, including product allocation and order fulfillment.
  • Assist in managing relationships with third-party brand partners and vendors.
  • Support sales performance reporting, analytics, and insights to guide decision-making.
  • Monitor wholesale inventory levels and communicate risks or supply gaps to leadership.
  • Enter and manage purchase orders within Leaf Trade and other wholesale systems.
  • Assist with forecasting demand and supporting sales projections across wholesale channels.
  • Maintain accurate records of wholesale accounts, programs, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with Retail teams to identify opportunities for operational improvement and enhanced customer experience.
  • Build and maintain collaborative partnerships and solid relationships with our grower-processors including leadership, fulfillment, distribution, manufacturing and cultivation.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Marketing teams to execute approved promotional strategies.
  • Work with Accounting to support invoice reconciliation and financial accuracy.
  • Partner with Compliance to ensure alignment with state and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in evaluating internal controls and supporting continuous process improvements.
  • Manage relationships with operational vendors to ensure timely execution of initiatives.
  • Support the development of financial targets using both top-down and bottom-up approaches.
  • Coordinate accurate and timely inventory distribution by location.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Cannabis and/or CPG industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), including knowledge of automation tools (Power Query, Power Automate, Macros).
