The Manager of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Operations will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Integrated Pest Management, including application planning, beneficial insect use and release, plant health, training, auditing of licenses and applications, vetting new products, and ensuring that locations have proper PPE and supplies. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader ensuring adherence to production schedules and goals developed in accordance with Enterprise support. A successful candidate will have experience leading an IPM team with +10 employees, with a strong emphasis on quality and accuracy, and knowledge.

CORE JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for accurate projections of pest and pathogen pressure impacts on yields and production levels
- Responsible for Plant Health and Application Schedules
- Maintain detailed application schedules for chemicals and beneficial insects while adhering to DOH/DOA standards.
- Ensure leads and applicators are fully licensed and up to date on credits to maintain the license
- Ensure goals are communicated to employees and they are properly trained
- Assist with day-to-day IPM operations, including but not limited to spray application, beneficial deployment, and scouting as needed.
- Oversees the IPM Facilities program and Leadership team of 2-3 Leads across 2 locations.
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Provide constructive feedback and performance improvement when necessary
- Maintain proper chemical and PPE stock
- Adhere to Brand and Product Quality Standards
- Ensure data is logged correctly in all compliance and company systems, including pesticide logbooks and SDS binders
- Maintain and enforce a culture of compliance for all cultivation activities with strict adherence to the Florida Statutes for Medical Marijuana Grow/Process, as well as regulations set forth by local, state, and federal agencies such as OSHA.
- Work with the Parallel Enterprise Grow Team on application schedules and vetting new products.
- Be an effective and collaborative partner with the Cultivation and Facilities teams.
- Implement effective scouting systems and routines throughout the cultivation process to manage and track overall plant health and pest pressures
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and ensure continuous improvement.
- Partners with cross-functional leads to drive innovation and ensure ongoing collaboration.
- Assist the Senior Manager of Cultivation Operations with critical indoor grow issues and scheduling.
- Work with the IPM teams to oversee labor scheduling and assess hiring needs.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Required
- Age 21 or over
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Government-Issued Photo ID
- Private Applicators License, Florida
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing commercial IPM programs.
- Minimum 5 years’ of people management experience
Preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or Entomology (Preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with large-scale commercial plant cultivation, including nutrient requirements, media, lighting, environmental control, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with proper chemical use and planning
- Proven leadership in a commercial indoor growing environment. Success in implementing highly efficient processes.
- Working knowledge of advanced indoor grow systems: computerized controls, irrigation, and hydroponic growing systems.
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness.
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office computer skills and ability to adapt to other software programs as required.

- Frequent exposure to temperature (e.g., hot greenhouse environments and cold indoor rooms).
- Exposure to environmental elements such as dust, fumes, allergens (including cannabis), plant material, and cleaning chemicals.
