Who You Are: 

As a Compliance Associate for Curaleaf, you’ll gain hands-on experience in regulatory compliance while supporting leadership across operations. This entry-level role offers a strong foundation for career growth, with opportunities to develop expertise in audits, inspections, SOP management, and compliance training. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally, assist with regulatory communications, and play a key role in maintaining company and legal standards — paving the way for advancement in compliance.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements while upholding company policies, procedures, and core values
  • Support compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures while helping develop and monitor state-specific SOPs for retail, cultivation, and manufacturing
  • Support the State Compliance Sr. Manager with regulatory submissions for new products and ensure new retail sites meet compliance standards for inspections
  • Assist the Sr. Compliance Manager with scheduling inspections for site, room, and equipment changes while conducting regular compliance audits across dispensaries, cultivation, and processing facilities
  • Develop and manage Corrective and Preventive Action plans, address non-conformance issues, provide clear compliance guidance, and support employee training to uphold regulatory standards
  • Maintain strong knowledge of state cannabis regulations, build professional relationships with regulators and inspectors, and monitor corrective actions to ensure compliance with external audit requirements
  • Manage marketing and advertising compliance requests across departments while conducting periodic reviews of procedures, forms, and logs to ensure regulatory adherence
  • Handle sensitive information and requests with professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion

What You’ll Bring:

  • You have an Associate’s degree in compliance, business administration, legal studies, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in regulatory compliance, auditing, or a similar role
  • You can interpret and apply state-specific cannabis regulations, along with compliance requirements for marketing, advertising, HIPAA, FDA, and other industry standards
  • You understand workplace health and safety standards and their role in maintaining a compliant and secure work environment
  • You are detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and proficiency in MS Office, including advanced Excel, enabling effective collaboration across all levels of the organization
  • You are flexible and creative, with a strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize under pressure, meet critical deadlines, and solve key roadblocks effectively
