Customer Experience Representative (CER)

Role and Responsibilities
The Customer Experience Representative role includes, but is not limited to:
Customer Offering:
- Greet customers as they enter the store, engage in conversations, and build relationships to understand their specific needs.
- Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere for all customers, ensuring an enjoyable shopping experience.
- Educate customers on cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods while promoting safe and responsible usage.
- Answer customer inquiries with accuracy and enthusiasm, ensuring customers feel supported and informed.
Day-to-Day Operations:
- Promote Nova Cannabis’s culture and brand by participating in merchandising and promotional activities.
- Work collaboratively with Store Managers and team members to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge by staying up-to-date on industry legislation, trends, and new products.
- Participate in routine store maintenance, ensuring cleanliness and organization are always a priority.
- Complete customer transactions using the POS system, adhering to cash handling and Loss Prevention procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking products to maintain availability for customers.
Regulatory Adherence:
- Comply with all federal and provincial cannabis regulations, including certifications and operational requirements:
- BC: Selling It Right Certification.
- AB: SellSafe Certification.
- SK: Cannabis Retail Training Program (CRTP).
- MB: Cannabis Retail Worker Training Program (CRWTP).
- ON: CannSell Certification.
- Adhere to Nova Cannabis’s policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and social responsibility programs as required by provincial regulatory bodies (AGLC/LCRB/SLGA/LGCA/AGCO).
- Follow all Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policies and procedures.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum: 2 years of customer service experience.
- Minimum: 2 years of retail and/or hospitality experience is preferred.
- Cannabis, liquor, or healthcare experience is an asset.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Mandatory Certifications by Province:
- BC: Selling It Right Certification.
- AB: SellSafe Certification.
- SK: CRTP Certification.
- MB: CRWTP Certification.
- ON: CannSell Certification.
- Must complete and pass a Criminal Record Check.
- Working knowledge of cannabis regulations in the applicable province is preferred.
