Remote - OntarioSNDL is seeking a dynamic and motivated Cannabis Retail Education Specialist to represent our cannabis product portfolio across government-operated retail stores in Eastern Canada. The ideal candidate is passionate about the cannabis industry, excels in client engagement, and can effectively deliver product education and drive brand awareness — all while ensuring strict compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
This role is ideal for a motivated and dynamic sales expert who can excel in a fast-paced, regulated industry. This individual will support retail partnerships, execute in-store activations, and contribute to commercial strategies. The position includes responsibilities at SQDC and New Brunswick head offices, along with attendance at industry conferences. Fluency in French is mandatory.
Internal Collaboration: Commercial – Provincial Sales, Retail Sales, New Product Development, Innovation, Marketing
Sales & Education
Create and deliver engaging product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for retail staff.
Educate store teams on SNDL’s product assortment, adhering to head office guidelines.
Plan and execute branded in-store pop-up activations targeting consumers.
Represent SNDL at conferences and industry events to promote our brands.
Merchandize and refresh marketing materials in-store as needed.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
Client Relationship Management
Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with retail clients and industry stakeholders.
Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
Provide exceptional customer service with consistent follow-ups.
Support sell-in efforts at the board level alongside the Provincial Sales Manager.
Market Research & Analysis
Stay current on cannabis trends, market dynamics, and competitive offerings.
Identify new business opportunities and areas for market growth.
Analyze sales performance to inform strategy and optimize outcomes.
Sales Administration & Reporting
Keep accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and transactions.
Support the creation of sales tools, educational materials, and promotional content.
Compile and submit sales reports, forecasts, and actionable business insights.
Participate in regular coaching and performance review initiatives.
Compliance & Budget Management
Ensure all sales and education activities comply with federal and provincial cannabis regulations.
Monitor regulatory changes impacting operations.
Track expenses and operate within approved budget limits.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Proven sales experience — cannabis industry experience is a strong asset.

Bilingual: Fluent in French and English (mandatory)

Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
Ability and willingness to travel frequently (by car and air) across Eastern Canada.
Flexible availability including evenings and weekends for client events and trade shows.
Must be able to pass a background check.
