Position Description: Production Manager

Position Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing and production processes within our cannabis operations. This includes supervising personnel, ensuring product quality, maintaining compliance with state and federal cannabis regulations, and driving production efficiency. The Manager plays a key leadership role in coordinating daily activities, supporting strategic planning, and upholding company standards for safety, quality, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Oversight:

  • Supervise all phases of cannabis processing from post-harvest to sale.
  • Coordinate activities related to operational efficiency, and cost efficiency for new skus.
  • Oversee the production of pre-rolls, packaged flower, edibles, concentrates, and other cannabis products.
  • Ensure products are prepared, trimmed, and packaged according to company quality standards.
  • Create and manage production schedules; monitor throughput and adjust as needed.
  • Operate and oversee the use of sophisticated manufacturing equipment.

Team Management:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of production workers.
  • Set clear goals and performance metrics.
  • Provide regular feedback, manage performance, and implement disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Foster a team-oriented environment focused on efficiency, quality, and safety.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

  • Perform QA/QC tasks, including analytical testing and data review for quality and consistency.
  • Ensure adherence to MMP's and SOPs.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, including SOPs, training records, and MSDS.
  • Track and document inventory of each phase of the production process.
  • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Operational Excellence:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all production areas and equipment.
  • Implement systems to measure and improve operational effectiveness.
  • Control departmental expenditures and operate within budget.
  • Contribute to broader operational and strategic plans to support company goals.

Reporting:

  • Provide weekly production and schedule updates to the Director .

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 year of experience in the cannabis industry.
  • Previous experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes.
  • Demonstrated scientific writing ability for SOPs, training, and procedural documentation.
  • Strong computer proficiency and data management skills.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and lead strategic projects aligned with company objectives.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
