About the Role

MMD is an established, premier cannabis dispensary brand serving Southern California communities with unmatched hospitality and compliance. We are seeking a reliable, high-energy Hybrid Delivery Driver & Budtender to join our North Hollywood storefront.

This role combines two essential functions: acting as the face of MMD out on delivery runs, and driving top-tier customer hospitality on our dispensary sales floor between routes. Whether you come from high-volume food and beverage, rideshare/last-mile logistics, or standard retail, we provide thorough compliance and product training to ensure you succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cannabis Delivery Driver and Budtender, you’ll play a dual role in ensuring our customers have an exceptional experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering orders to customers in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
• Providing excellent customer service by answering questions and guiding customers to products that best suit their needs.
• Handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintaining compliance with all cannabis delivery regulations and company policies.
• Assisting in-store with budtending duties, including stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and keeping the store clean and welcoming.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate will bring:

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, whether as a delivery driver, budtender, or in another customer-facing position.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A reliable and professional attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of cannabis products and industry regulations (a plus!).

Location: North Hollywood, CA

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays)

Compensation: $18.42/hr base + tips + non-taxed California mileage reimbursement ($0.67/mile)

What You’ll Do

On the Road (Last-Mile Delivery):

• Execute customer deliveries across the North Hollywood territory safely, punctually, and in strict adherence to local traffic laws and DCC delivery protocols.
• Conduct mandatory age and identity verification at every drop-off before releasing cannabis goods.
• Operate our delivery and route management software on your smartphone to log receipts, record drop-offs, and track compliance documentation in real time.
• Maintain clear, constant communication with dispatch and store management regarding traffic delays, route changes, or delivery exceptions.

In the Store (Retail & Floor Support):

• Deliver welcoming, attentive consultations to dispensary guests, offering thoughtful product education across flower, concentrates, edibles, and wellness items.
• Ring up orders, process pickup requests, and handle cash transactions with zero drawer discrepancy using our Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
• Fulfill, package, and stage outbound delivery and online express orders with high accuracy.
• Support inventory counts, restock display cases, unpack vendor shipments, and maintain an organized, spotless sales floor between delivery dispatches.

What We’re Looking For

• Age & Eligibility: At least 21 years of age with legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Vehicle & Licensing:
• • Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR check required upon offer).
  • Reliable personal vehicle with an enclosed, locking trunk or fully secured cargo compartment meeting California cannabis transit requirements.
  • Active personal auto insurance and up-to-date California vehicle registration in your name.
• Experience: 1+ years in customer service, hospitality, retail, or route delivery (rideshare, courier, or courier-app experience translates directly). Prior dispensary experience is a plus, but not required—coachability and punctuality matter most.
• Tech Proficiency: Comfortable utilizing smartphone GPS apps, dispatch platforms, and POS hardware with minimal oversight.
• Availability: Flexible schedule required across our operating hours (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM, 7 days a week), including consistent availability for peak evening shifts, weekends, and holiday rushes.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Rate: $18.42 per hour
• Tips: Additional cash and digital tips earned both on the road and at the counter
• Mileage Reimbursement: Tracked and paid per California standard rates for all authorized delivery miles driven
