The Role: Beer Manager
We're looking for a beer-savvy, customer-focused leader to run the beer department at our Wine and Beyond Township location in Calgary. As Beer Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things beer—craft, local, import, and more. You’ll lead a team, drive sales, manage inventory, and create an outstanding customer experience.
What You’ll Do
Lead and support a high-performing department team
Drive beer sales and customer engagement
Plan and host in-store tastings and events
Keep your department clean, stocked, and visually appealing
Manage inventory, ordering, and product launches
Maintain compliance with safety and liquor regulations
Support daily store operations and collaborate with management
What You Bring
2+ years of retail or liquor experience
Supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
Strong beer knowledge (Cicerone Level 1 or similar is a plus)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
ProServe certification (or ability to obtain it in Alberta)
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet
Available evenings and weekends
Must pass a background check and have reliable transportation
