Cannabis Sales Account Executive (Outside & Inside Sales)'

REQUIRED: MUST BE ONSITE AT CORPORATE OFFICE IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES DAILY

SCHEDULE: MONDAY_FRIDAY 9AM-6PM

Overview

The Sales Account Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing client accounts, prospecting new leads, and maintaining strong relationships with dispensaries, distributors, or cannabis brands. This role includes both inside sales (phone/email/CRM-based outreach) and outside sales (field visits, trade shows, in-person meetings).

Key Responsibilities

Outside Sales:

  • Travel to dispensaries, retail stores, or distribution hubs.

  • Host in-person meetings with buyers or purchasing managers.

  • Conduct product demos and education sessions.

  • Attend cannabis expos, trade shows, and networking events.

  • Build and maintain relationships through face-to-face engagement.

Inside Sales:

  • Perform cold calling, follow-up emails, and lead generation.

  • Manage and grow a pipeline using a CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

  • Coordinate logistics and inventory between clients and fulfillment teams.

  • Provide virtual product training and onboarding for clients.

  • Collaborate with marketing on campaign targeting and execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of cannabis products (flower, concentrates, edibles, etc.)

  • Experience in B2B sales, preferably in cannabis, CPG, or pharma.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • CRM software proficiency.

  • Able to travel frequently (for outside sales portion).

  • Cannabis sales license (where applicable by state).

Metrics for Success

  • Sales quota attainment (monthly/quarterly)

  • Client retention and satisfaction

  • Number of new accounts opened

  • Growth in territory sales

  • CRM data accuracy and usage

Compensation Structure

  • Base salary + commission

  • Travel reimbursements

  • Potential bonuses for exceeding sales targets
