What the role is about:

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, energetic and detail-oriented candidate for this exciting new role. The ideal candidate will be driven, organized, and innovative, with a strong ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere. The Production Technician II role will work closely with our Production and Quality departments to further our quality initiatives and utilize data collection and analysis to drive decision making. This role will be responsible for monitoring the moisture levels of Harvest material throughout the dry and cure process, entering the data, and making recommendations based on real world results. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the physical and digital movement of our Harvest material in both our Seed to Sale tracking software as well as our ERP inventory system. Working closely with the team Lead to facilitate the mixing of Harvest material for packaging. The daily operation of our irradiation equipment and maintaining its corresponding Data entry Log will also fall in the scope of this role. In addition, this role will help to support the Team Lead, and Production Tech-1 roles as needed and dictated by the needs of the business. This position reports directly to the Flower Production Manager.


What impact you’ll make:   

  • Facilitate system movement of harvest material from License to License in the seed to sale and ERP system
  • Facilitate physical movement of harvest material from Greenhouse to Processing Building
  • Verify weight of the harvest after the digital and physical movement
  • Operations of irradiation equipment as needed  Enter info, update & maintain the RAD Log Spreadsheet 
  • Working with team Lead to mix large and small bud to create a packable ‘Mixed Bud’ Harvest Batch
  • Check and monitor moisture readings during drying of cannabis plants in dry rooms
  • Check and monitor moisture readings during curing of cannabis flower after processing
  • Accurate and timely data tracking and documentation of all moisture readings taken during Dry & Curing Stages
  • Burping bulk cannabis flower totes during the curing process
  • Maintain an organized, safe, clean, and orderly workstation 
  • Cleaning & Organization of the Cure Room
  • Follow detailed directives of department leads, supervisors, and managers 
  • Adaptable to change  
  • Able to work well independently or in a group setting  
  • The ability to properly manage time, stay on task, and meet goals and quality expectations. 
  • Must have an excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to follow instructions as well as take constructive criticism from leadership. 
  • Must adhere to all company policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment, identifying and communicating opportunities to improve, safety, quality, delivery, cost and teamwork 
  • Occasionally this employee may be asked to assist with Production Technician 1 duties as required by the needs of the business. These include but are not limited to…
  • Operation of small-scale packaging equipment, such as scales, heat sealers, labelers, grinders, and Pre-Roll filling machines etc.  
  • Weighing, labeling, hand filling and sealing of cannabis products and cannabis by-products: including prepacked flower, bulk flower, prerolls, vapes, ingestible products, edibles, topicals, and other cannabis by-products

  • Employee must exhibit strong competency in organization, tracking and communication skills
  • Employee must possess the necessary computer skills, being well versed in Excel & Word  
  • The ability to properly manage time, stay on task, and meet production throughput and quality expectations.
  • Employee must possess excellent attention to detail.
  • A proven track record of good attendance
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
