We are seeking a motivated and reliable Production Associate to join our team in a fast-paced cannabis manufacturing environment. As a Production Associate, you will play a critical role in the production process of cannabis products, ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance with industry regulations, and operational efficiency. You will operate machinery, assist in assembling and packaging cannabis products, perform quality checks, and help maintain a clean and safe work environment. This position requires attention to detail, an understanding of cannabis industry regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively with your team to meet production goals.

Production & Equipment Operation:

  • Operate production equipment and machinery efficiently and safely, adhering to cannabis industry safety protocols.
  • Assist in assembling and packaging cannabis products according to strict specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform quality checks on cannabis products to ensure compliance with company and industry standards, including state and federal regulations.
Quality Control & Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate production records, including product counts, defects, and processing details, in accordance with cannabis industry documentation standards.
  • Inspect cannabis products for consistency, potency, and quality, reporting any issues to supervisors while ensuring compliance with cannabis regulations.
Team Collaboration & Efficiency:
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following established protocols, including those specific to the cannabis industry.
Safety & Maintenance:
  • Adhere to safety guidelines, including cannabis-specific workplace safety requirements, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Monitor production operations and report malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns, including those that might affect cannabis product integrity.
  • Assist with routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any necessary repairs.
Inventory & Material Management:
  • Assist with inventory management, ensuring cannabis materials are stocked, tracked, and available for production, with a focus on regulatory compliance.
  • Support proper labeling, packaging, and storage of cannabis products in accordance with industry regulations to ensure product safety and traceability.
Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Experience in the cannabis industry is preferred, including knowledge of cannabis regulations and compliance standards, but not required.
Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work within the highly regulated cannabis industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, ensuring collaboration in accordance with cannabis industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions, especially related to regulatory procedures and safety protocols.
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment with fluctuating temperatures.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in cannabis production or related horticultural fields.
  • Familiarity with cannabis regulations and compliance in the production process, including packaging, labeling, and storage.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing or agricultural setting, specifically for the cannabis industry.
Working Conditions:
  • Hours: Flexible hours with potential for shifts including evenings, weekends, or overtime depending on production schedules.
  • Environment: Fast-paced, team-oriented environment that requires the ability to work efficiently, safely, and in compliance with cannabis industry standards.
