The manufacturing agent position will involve working in the extraction lab to create cannabis products.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure testing is submitted to the state laboratory and is suitable for requested analyses.
- Prepare and analyze samples quantitatively using accepted preparation methods.
- Ensure compliance with QA
- Evaluate quality control
- Handling and manipulation of hazardous chemicals and high pressure gasses.
- Ordering all consumables I/E solvent, media, etc
- Guides others on how to appropriately perform all production needs
- Data analytical inputs for all production inside the lab, and how to use existing guidelines and principles
- Follow methods to meet all standards for total return and total % cannabinoids
- Development of new team members training
- Optimization for all zones and keeping production measurements in the guidelines of the company.
- Troubleshooting existing methodologies, developing new methodology and identifying new technology.
- Develops and prepares method validation plans using guidance from the director and manager of the lab
- Prepares standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Generates well documented data as part of validation and verification of new methods and/or equipment as required by regulation
- Assisting with lab production, which includes but is not limited to distillation, extraction, winterization, production of cannabis infused products, compliance requirements, and workplace safety
- Oversee the quality of products daily, understanding the quality standards
- Regularly display good laboratory technique to avoid cross-contamination or misidentified samples
- Operate equipment, make observations, calculate, and record results
- Safe and proper operation of any/all applicable machinery, instrumentation, and equipment.
- Strict adherence to department SOPs
- Maintain proper PPE and hygiene.
- Understand and meet daily goals
- Other job duties as requested
- Regularly touch base with team and provided coaching when necessary
Qualifications:
- Previous cannabis manufacturing, extraction, or kitchen technician experience, preferred
- Good communication skills, verbal and written, with co-workers and management
- Possess a sense of urgency, problem-solving, and organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Motivated with flexibility and adaptability
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs.
- Must be able to bend, lift and stoop continuously
- Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time
- Good visual acuity, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and ability to perform repetitive motions with accuracy is required
- Must pass a pre-employment/post-offer background check.
- Must be 21 years of age or older
