Probationary Period: 90 days- Full time 120 days- Part Time
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (hourly)
Classification: Non-Child-Related NA
Driver’s License: Level 0- No Driver’s License required.
Rate of Pay: 18.95 - 21.32
Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe and secure environment within and around the dispensary facility.
- Checks identifications and guides customers from the lobby area to the secure sales floor.
- Make regular examinations and security assessments of the facilities and surrounding areas.
- Patrols the building and grounds as needed.
- Watches and reports irregularities such as loitering, carrying forbidden articles, and smoking in unauthorized areas by calling proper authorities, and doing a written report of the violations observed. Provide security at major functions.
- Sounds alarm or 911 in case of emergency or the presence of unauthorized person or persons.
- Records data such as property damage, unusual occurrences and/or malfunctions of machinery or equipment, keeps daily logs and completes incident reports daily.
- Enforces all company policies and procedures; federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
- Ensures compliance with cash handling procedures.
- Appropriate work attire is required.
- Must attend all mandatory department trainings.
- Ensures confidentiality of financial records and all records for employees, band members and/or clients.
- Displays a responsive and professional manner in promptly responding to all requests, complaints, and problems.
- Recognizes that each employee is a representative of the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect, and sensitivity to the needs of all others, including visitors and co-workers.
- Represents the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the department in a positive and professional manner in the community.
- Required to maintain proper attendance including reporting to work on time in accordance with applicable policies.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Due to changes and modifications in the job from time to time, employees are required to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as deemed necessary.
- Some travel may be required.
Qualifications
- No Driver’s License required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous security experience preferred.
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing is required.
- The ability to work independently and establish priorities is required.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
- Ability to establish professional and harmonious working relationships on all projects and with all parties involved.
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing in accordance with the Fond du Lac Employment Handbook.
- Subject to pre-employment and annual background checks.
- Some travel may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying up to 45 pounds.
- Walking, standing, climbing, pushing and pulling are required.
- Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time is required.
- Ability to work in-store and office with fluorescent and other lighting exposure.
